What War on Christmas?

It’s that time of year again, folks. It’s time for the War on Christmas.

What is that, you may ask? The short answer: a sometimes histrionic yuletide debate over whether the United States is a country that respects Christianity.

For the longer answer, keep reading.

The idea of a “War on Christmas” has turned things like holiday greetings and decorations into potentially divisive political statements. People who believe Christmas is under attack point to inclusive phrases like “Happy Holidays” as (liberal) insults to Christianity.

For over a decade, these debates have taken place mainly on conservative talk radio and cable programs. But this year they also burst onto a much grander stage: the presidential election.

At a rally in Wisconsin last week, Donald J. Trump stood in front of a line of Christmas trees and repeated a campaign-trail staple.

“When I started 18 months ago, I told my first crowd in Wisconsin that we are going to come back here some day and we are going to say ‘Merry Christmas’ again,” he said. “Merry Christmas. So, Merry Christmas everyone. Happy New Year, but Merry Christmas.”

Christmas is a federal holiday celebrated widely by the country’s Christian majority. So where did the idea that it is threatened come from?

The death knell of the dinosaur media

The New York Times has entered its terminal decline:

When we moved into our new building in 2007, we saw it as a modern headquarters for a modern New York Times. We still feel that way.

But as Mark mentioned in the State of The Times last month, after a good deal of consideration, we have determined that the way that we use our headquarters building needs to evolve to better match the changes you and your colleagues have been driving across every part of the company.

The current way we have configured our office makes us slower and less collaborative. It is also, frankly, too expensive to occupy this many floors when we don’t truly need them.

We’ve made the decision to consolidate our footprint across the building to create a more dynamic, modern and open workplace, one that is better suited to the moment. We’re planning significant investments in a redesign of our existing space in order to facilitate more cross-departmental collaboration.

We expect a substantial financial benefit as well. All told, we will vacate at least eight floors, allowing us to generate significant rental income.

We have engaged Gensler, an architecture and interior design firm, to help us redesign our workplace and beginning early next year, work will begin on select floors below 14. By the end of next year, we expect to have consolidated our occupancy to that side of the building. We will keep the cafeteria and the conference rooms on 15.

We have already seen that changing office layouts can lead to good results. Some of the most creative wings of the company — the Beta team, the Graphics Department and some of our technology teams have changed their floor plans to help improve the way they work.

The coming redesign will introduce more team rooms and common spaces. And, we will do away with big corner offices, like the ones you see on the 16th and 17th floors, including, yes, the publisher and CEO’s offices. We don’t need to preserve those vestiges from a different era, so we won’t.

What a pity they employed Paul Krugman back in 2007, rather than a more astute economist who saw the 2008 financial crisis coming, who could have warned them that buying real estate was not a good idea at the time.

Anyhow, it will take a while before the NYT goes away entirely, as there is a lot of ruin in a major media institution, but it won’t be too terribly long before its debts exceed its assets.

Replacing Shakespeare

The silver lining is that no one ever needs to feel inadequate about not attending an Ivy League university ever again:

The blackest thing ever happened on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania: A group of students recently removed a picture of William Shakespeare and replaced it with one of Audre Lorde.

Fisher-Bennett Hall is home to Penn’s English department, and the portrait of Shakespeare has resided over the main staircase in the building for years. The English department, in an effort to represent more diversity in writing, voted a few years ago to relocate the portrait and replace it.

Despite the vote, the picture was left in the entranceway of the building. The Daily Pennsylvanian reports that on Dec. 1, after an English-department town hall meeting discussing the election, a group of students removed Shakespeare’s portrait, delivered it to the office of English professor and department Chair Jed Esty, and replaced it with a photograph of black feminist writer Audre Lorde.

Esty, who declined to be interviewed, said in an email to the Daily Pennsylvanian, “Students removed the Shakespeare portrait and delivered it to my office as a way of affirming their commitment to a more inclusive mission for the English department.”

This may or may not be a more inclusive mission, but it is certainly a more illiterate one. Those who believe that a non-white “America” is going to resemble, in any way shape or form, the historical America, really aren’t paying attention.

Diversity is nothing more than cargo cultists mindlessly aping actual civilization. Forget actually maintaining it, they can’t even produce credible imitations that aren’t comedic parodies. By the time the cargo cultists obtain complete control of a formerly Western society, it won’t merely be Shakespeare being replaced, but functional flush toilets and 60+ life expectancies as well.

Peas and carrot cake

On a colorblind society and other observable absurdities:

To a large degree, I became racially conscious because of my black clients, who eventually destroyed all my preconceived notions about race. My awakening did not come from one or even a few incidents, but from the accumulation of thousands upon thousands of small interactions.

Day after day my clients continue to amaze me. There is no racial education quite so thorough and convincing as spending time with blacks, and my clients are far from being the poorest and least competent blacks. They are not indigent criminals for whom I am a court-appointed lawyer. They are people who can afford (or think they can afford) a lawyer to get a divorce, contest a custody judgment, beat a traffic ticket, etc. Some are government employees who make $60 to $70 thousand a year, yet even this group is vastly different from whites….

In my state, the parent who does not have custody — almost always the father — pays a percentage of net income to the parent with custody — almost always the mother. The mother gets 20 percent of the father’s net income for the first child, 25 percent for two children, and up to 50 percent for five or more children. What if a man has children by several women? Each mother gets 20 percent for the first child, so a man with five children by five different women is supposed to be paying 100 percent of his income in child support. I once had a client who had 12 different children by 10 different women. Theoretically, he owed 250 percent of his income. These laws simply don’t make sense for blacks.

The idea that all races are equally suited to all societies and vice-versa has never made any sense to me, probably because I have lived in four very different societies, with four different languages, as an adult. Whenever I see someone blithely assuring me that the Chinese will adapt to the West because Magic Dirt or virtue-signaling in some other similar fashion, it always makes me smile, because I am a much better cultural chameleon than most and I know very well how very different my values and assumptions and instincts are, and have remained, than the values and assumptions and instincts of those who have variously hosted me over time around the world.

When something so foundational as a legal system cannot reasonably account for variances in behavior, no society, indeed, no civilization, is possible for long. Rest assured, many of those who eagerly anticipate living in a non-white society are going to bitterly, bitterly, regret the world they have lost if they ever get to experience what they think will be a better society.

White people are supreme at precisely one thing: creating white societies. If you want to have a certain type of society, be it German, Japanese, or Navaho, the one thing you absolutely need is a sufficient number of that kind of people. It is strange, but many who understand one cannot make carrot cake from peas or mushrooms still seem to think they can make an American society without Americans.

The ironic thing is that even some of the immigrants are beginning to realize this. In England, for example, some groups of immigrants are becoming increasingly upset because they believed they were going to be living among English people in a functional, highly civilized English society, not among other immigrant groups in a dysfunctional, increasingly uncivilized multicultural society.

Society is people. It is not values, or skin color, or height, or any other thing that people possess. Adulterate the people and you will devalue the society. Demographics is destiny.

A society in decline

Declining life expectancy is the expected result of a society that has peaked and is on the way down:

One of the fundamental ways scientists measure the well-being of a nation is tracking the rate at which its citizens die and how long they can be expected to live.

So the news out of the federal government Thursday is disturbing: The overall U.S. death rate has increased for the first time in a decade, according to an analysis of the latest data. And that led to a drop in overall life expectancy for the first time since 1993, particularly among people younger than 65.

“This is a big deal,” says Philip Morgan, a demographer at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill who was not involved in the new analysis.

“There’s not a better indicator of well-being than life expectancy,” he says. “The fact that it’s leveling off in the U.S. is a striking finding.”

One can’t say it is surprising. The same thing happened in Russia under Yeltsin, when the country was being strip-mined by the oligarchs in the wake of the collapse of the Soviet Union. Russia has found its confidence again in its return to Christianity and nationalism, and both its birth rates and life expectancies are on the rise again.

If Americans are fortunate, the God-Emperor Ascendant will be half as good for his people as Putin has been for the Russians. The more foreigners are driven out, the more the secularists and atheists and pagans are forced to accept their second-rate status, the more America will be made great again.

Equalitarianism is neither just nor healthy, and diversity is no more a strength than war is peace or black is white. If it was, the diversity advocates wouldn’t have to repeat it like a retarded mantra in defiance of all history and science.

The great irony is that allowing minorities equal status in a society is not only bad for the majority, it is almost always bad for the minorities themselves. After all, if they were even remotely capable of constructing a society in which they wanted to live in the first place, they would be the majority.

Race and religion

It’s one thing for one’s life to be transformed by the power of Jesus Christ. It is real. I have seen remarkable transformations of people’s hearts, character, behavior, and spirit take place in the lives of friends, acquaintances, and strangers. That being said, I’ve yet to see Christianity do much to transform one’s intellect, one’s height, or one’s intrinsic capacity for empathy or logic:

Black women have great faith in God, but they have a twisted understanding of His role. They do not pray for strength or courage. They pray for results: the satisfaction of immediate needs. One of my clients was a black woman who prayed in a circle with her accomplices for God’s protection from the police before they would set out to commit a robbery.

The mothers and grandmothers pray in the hallways–not for justice, but for acquittal. When I explain that the evidence that their beloved child murdered the shop keeper is overwhelming, and that he should accept the very fair plea bargain I have negotiated, they will tell me that he is going to trial and will “ride with the Lord.” They tell me they speak to God every day and He assures them that the young man will be acquitted.

Before you dismiss the observer as a hateful racist hater, consider that as a public defender of liberal persuasion, he not only spends more time than anyone reading this with low-income Africans attempting to help them, but has probably bled a considerably greater quantity of hearts-blood over their fates as well.

There was a fair amount of talk about EQ a few years ago, and there is an increasing amount of discussion of pathological altruism. What is gradually becoming apparent to me is that Western civilization not only requires a base level of intelligence, but also a base level of empathy. Any population group with an average level of either intelligence or empathy that falls below that level is not going to be able to participate in European civilization or sustain a reasonable facsimile on its own.

Christianity certainly helps support the development of empathy in an individual by providing a strong rational justification for it, but it observably does not create it ex nihilo in the human breast. I suspect it would be eucivically useful if there were standard tests for empathy as reliable as those for intelligence.

The great trick

Q: Why did the great ethnic cleansing of America take place?

The demographic devastation of the USA is not an accident. It was planned. It is intentional. It is taking place all around you. None of the whitefacing and mudsharking and Schrödingering and cucking that you’re seeing in the media and in the culture is innocent. It is collectively intended to destroy the surviving remnants of America proper, America per se, the original America of the Founding Fathers that has been under assault from the melting potists and propositionals and equalitarians since the early 20th century.

It should be patently obvious to even those most strongly in denial that a geographical location in which the national identity has been recreated is no longer the same nation. Just as the continental land mass can no longer be described as Native American, it can no longer be described as American.

The United States of America is no longer united, a collection of sovereign states, or American. Discuss amongst yourselves….

That joke was a lot easier to laugh knowingly at when it concerned the Holy Roman Empire, wasn’t it?

Incoming: Round Two

The Left is beginning to hyperventilate about the possibility of another American civil war:

Since 1972, the General Social Survey has collected data on how many Americans think “most people can be trusted.” A guy named Josh Morgan graphed it, and while the south has always taken a more “we don’t like your kind ’round here” position, most of America started the 70s in a pretty good place:

Now fast-forward to 2012:

“Trust” isn’t just an intangible concept when we’re talking about the potential for civil warfare. Sinisa Malesevic is a professor who studies the sociology of civil wars and a survivor of the Yugoslavian civil war. He’s someone Marvel really should’ve reached out to for script advice, and he noted the breakdown of trust was one of the first traumatizing steps to war, “… in a very short period of time, there is a complete sense of fear, you do not know who is who, who is supporting which side … that fear spreads.”

Sinisa also pointed out that most civil wars start after a loss of trust in the government, particularly law enforcement: “One of the defining features of any state is a legitimate monopoly on the use of violence.” In other words, if we trust the police to handle bad guys better than armed groups of vigilantes, we’ll probably trust the government more than armed groups of insurgents.

“And if police are not seen as doing their job … I think that certainly has an impact.”

Now, what could possibly have changed since 1972? What could possibly have reduced the sense of community, and trust, and unity to the point that the average percentage of people who believe “most people can be trusted” has fallen from 46.2 percent to 32.4 percent.

Could it, perhaps, be the alteration of the country’s population demographic by the largest invasion in human history?

It might make Cracked feel better to know that their reasons for a possible civil war are largely irrelevant. It probably won’t make them feel better to be informed that there are much better reasons for a civil war to be almost inevitable at this point.

As I noted previously, Peter Turchin and his team have calcuated that the Population Stress Index is already at 1856 levels. While there is no definite trigger point, the USA is already well within the range that civil wars happen. And since the USA is not even a reasonable approximation of a genuine nation anymore, Round Two promises to be considerably less civil than its predecessor.

Donald Trump and the Alt-Right are very likely the last hope for avoiding the balkanization and break-up of the USA. Regardless of what you think of either, you would be wise to support both if you wish there to be domestic peace on the North American continent.

Western civilization is European

And European-only, the ahistorical fever dreams of cucks and neocons notwithstanding. Immigration is more than merely dyscivic, it is observably dyscivilizational.

Violent attacks on personnel, robberies, and fraud have forced DHL Express to halt all deliveries in the invader-overrun region of Wedding, north-west Berlin, a statement from the company has announced.

Wedding has a “German-origin” population of only 50 percent, with the rest being made up of Africans, Turks, Arabs, Asians, and Eastern European gypsies.

According to a statement issued to Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg (RBB) by Anke Blenn, the reason for the halt in delivery services is because of the increasing number of “attacks on drivers” and rampant fraud and robberies to which they are being subjected. As a result, parcel recipients will from now on have to collect their items from a DHL office, where the identity of the recipient can then be checked, she added.

Forget home delivery. A minority-European population in a Western country isn’t even going to have flush toilets or functioning dishwashers for very long. If white workers can’t even drop off a package safely, they sure as Hell aren’t going to enter a stranger’s home and stay there for hours.

The thing that is so ludicrously stupid about the equalitarian position shared by American liberals and conservatives alike is that it assumes because reasonably digestible numbers of European immigrants were semi-successfully assimilated with only one massive civil war followed by 60 years of virtually no immigration, an unlimited number of non-European immigrants can be permitted to enter the country indefinitely.

This is not merely bad logic. This is insane. There is no way – none – to rationally defend or justify the position, which is why its defenders immediately retreat to abstract ideals and pure rhetoric.

The invasion of 60 million immigrants in 50 years, the largest invasion in human history, will lead to war in the United States. There is ZERO question of this, as it is only a matter of time. We can’t know when it will happen, we can’t know exactly why it will happen, but given the fact that the USA is already at a stress level that was last seen in 1856, the odds are against the USA even making it to the 2033 date I had predicted for financial collapse and some form of political dissolution. Keep in mind that I neither created nor calculated the Popular Wellbeing Index or the Political Stress Index, I have merely independently observed some of the factors that go into those cliodynamic metrics.

There will also be continuing conflict in Europe, but given the rapid rise of the nationalist parties, something more akin to Operation Wetback and the Chinese Exclusion Act are more likely.

So, cry Racism, Constitution, Declaration, and Proposition Nation all you like. Virtue-signal your color-blindness all you like. Adopt one child of every color if you want. None of that frantic appeal to totem magic will save you from what is to come any more than it would have in 1861, in 1914, or 1939. None of that is going to excuse your complicity in the nightmares to come. And regardless of what you think of it, understand that the Alt-Right program is the only one that even has the possibility of averting the coming conflict.
